Russia needed the US and England to help them fight the Germans who had come to Russia. But then the Russians didn’t need them anymore because the Germans stopped and went back away from Russia. Russia wanted to control big parts of Western Europe England and the US did not want to let them control big parts of that area. Russia wanted to control Italy when Italy’s leader Mussolini was defeated. Russia wanted to control part of Poland and put in a communist government but England and the US said they could control part of Poland but it had to be a Democratic government. Russia did take over Poland promised to hold elections but elections didn’t happen for 40 years and Poland. Wanted German reparations.
